Nick Hallam | Assistant CoachNick Hallam | Assistant Coach

With 25 years of coaching experience in the heart of Texas, Hallam, a native of the United Kingdom, brings a depth of understanding and passion to the field. His journey began as a semi-professional player for nine years before transitioning to coaching. Since then, he has left an indelible mark on the soccer landscape in Texas.

As the Texas Tech Soccer Assistant Coach for 7 years, Hallam honed his craft, guiding players and teams towards excellence. Prior to Texas Tech, within youth soccer, his tenure as Director of Coaching for Lonestar SC - San Antonio for 7 years saw the club rise to new heights, with teams achieving recognition at the highest regional levels and making appearances in the prestigious NPL Finals in 2016.

In Houston, as the Technical Director for Albion Hurricanes for 3 years, Hallam wasted no time in making an impact, propelling the club onto the regional and national scene. Under his leadership, the club secured spots in the USYS National League and gained acceptance into the ECNL, solidifying its position as one of Houston's premier youth soccer clubs.

Throughout his career, Hallam has been committed to player development, evident in his roles as Director of Player Development for AU Capitals - Austin for 8 years and as a staff member and then the Director of Texas Tech’s Elite ID Soccer Camps since 2012. His dedication to the sport is further demonstrated by his involvement with U.S. Soccer Training Centers and his attainment of various coaching licenses and certificates, including the prestigious US Soccer National Youth License in 2001 and A-youth License in 2018. He also holds a National Youth Diploma (since 2003) and attained the United Soccer Coaches/NCAA Advanced Director of Coaching Certificate in 2015.

Off the field, Hallam's impact extends beyond soccer. He has spearheaded initiatives to improve soccer training facilities and increase accessibility.  Hallam has been married to his wife, Laura, for more than 20 years. The couple have two daughters, Maisie (20), who is a Red Raider, and Marin (16), a keen golfer and horse rider.

Blair Quinn brings a wealth of experience to his role as assistant coach for Texas Tech Women's Soccer, joining the program on Feb. 23, 2023. With a successful tenure as associate head coach at Iowa, where he led the Hawkeyes to two NCAA Tournament appearances and their inaugural Big Ten title, Quinn has proven himself as a top-tier coach. His coaching journey includes stints at notable institutions such as Houston, Arizona State, New Mexico State, Loyola Marymount, and Saint Mary (Kansas).

As a former professional player from 1997 to 2003, Quinn's on-field experience adds invaluable insight to his coaching philosophy. Prior to his professional career, Quinn showcased his talents as a standout goalkeeper at Rockhurst University, earning prestigious accolades such as first-team NAIA All-America and second-team NSCAA All-America honors.

Quinn's commitment to professional development is evident through his attainment of coaching licenses, including the USSF National "A" License, USSF National Goalkeeping License, and the NSCAA National Youth Diploma. Furthermore, his extensive coaching resume includes roles such as Team Coach and Goalkeeping Director for Arizona Arsenal Soccer Club, New Mexico ODP Age Group Director/Coach, and ECNL Director/Coach for Sporting Blue Valley.

Prior to joining Texas Tech, Quinn served as the Assistant Coach and Goalkeeping Coach for the Houston Dash (NWSL), further solidifying his expertise in elite-level women's soccer.

A proud native of Overland Park, Kansas, Quinn finds support and joy in his family life with his wife, Lacey, and their two sons, Aidan and Riley. With Quinn's multifaceted background and dedication to excellence, Texas Tech Women's Soccer is poised for continued success under his guidance.
